Welcome Again.
I apologize to my first period students and their parents for the lack of time we had to talk. The most important points that I wanted to address was our supplies for next year and our focus for the year. First, please get your notebook and dividers ready for the first week, book cover (jumbo), and a USB for your writing assignments. Our focus will be on the four domains: reading/literature, writing, vocabulary, and conventions. All of our work will revolve around those domains and the standards within those.
The new gradebook program will not be accessible to parents for about 3-4 weeks, so please be patient with us. If you have concerns about your student's progress in the class, please do not hesitate to contact me. As a matter of fact, I would like all of my parents to provide me with a contact email in case I need to contact you, or I send out an information email.
I look forward to a positive, productive year.
